Vitrine — Privacy Policy
Effective: August 2026 · Eduard Lorenz · Connectix GmbH, Switzerland
The short version: Vitrine collects no data. Everything stays on your device.
What the app does with device features
- Camera — used solely to render augmented-reality views on your screen. Camera frames are processed on-device by Apple's ARKit and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted by Vitrine.
- Face information (TrueDepth) — when you choose the Face anchor mode, ARKit provides a facial position and shape mesh so that 3D content can follow the face and be realistically hidden behind it. This face data is used only in the moment, on the device, for rendering. Vitrine does not store it, does not transmit it anywhere, and cannot identify anyone from it.
- Body tracking — the Body anchor mode uses ARKit's on-device skeleton estimation the same way: rendering only, nothing stored or transmitted.
- LiDAR scanning — scanned geometry is saved only into your local project files, at your explicit request.
- Photos — AR captures are saved to your photo library only when you tap the shutter. Vitrine cannot read your existing photos (it holds add-only access).
What the app does not do
- No accounts, no sign-in.
- No analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind.
- No third-party SDKs that receive data.
- No network transmission of your projects, models, captures, or any camera/face/body data. The app works fully offline.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. Vitrine receives only an anonymous confirmation that the purchase exists — no name, no payment details.
Your content
Projects, imported models, and scans live in the app's local documents folder (visible in the Files app) and in your own backups. Deleting the app deletes them; sharing them is always an explicit action you take.
